About Derbyshire Network
Derbyshire Scout Network was formed in 2001 and is now one of the most active Scout Networks in the country with over 140 members across Derbyshire. We have a growing number of Local Networks in various parts of Derbyshire, each one catering for their local area. Each Network has its own programme of activities and our Local Networks also team up to undertake joint activities very regularly.
Derbyshire Network members participate in a number of events held every year, from Derbyshire-run events such as the Alton Towers Camp and Seaside Social, to other National events including Intense (Avon), National Network Gathering (Lake District), and Pub Scouts (Coventry).
Derbyshire Network is run by its members for its members. A committee of 2 representatives from each Network meet up regularly to discuss various aspects regarding the running of the Network section in Derbyshire.
Derbyshire Network members also undertake various award schemes including the Queen's Scout Award, Duke of Edinburgh Award, and Explorer Belt.
We welcome all of our friends that we know, and those we have yet to meet, to join us in transforming this Derbyshire Senior Section of Scouting to heights and beyond.
Derbyshire Network Maps
Derbyshire is split into a number of Scout Districts, as shown in the map on the left. The map on the right shows those Districts which already have a Network in place. Derbyshire Network is rapidly expanding across the county and new Networks are planned for each of the remaining areas. If you are interested in setting up a new Network, please contact us.
